  • Congratulations to General Pathology resident Hetal Talati. At the January 12, 2012 SJH staff meeting, Hetal was awarded with the Best Resident Award 2012.
  • Congraulations to AP residents Etiene Mahe, and his wife Laura, on the birth of their baby girl on Saturday, October 29, 2011.

  • A reminder to all Lab Med residents (MM, MB|CC, AP, GP) that the MB Lab Management Sessions were set by PD's as mandatory, for all Lab Med residents, regardless of what speciality you are in.

    Travel Grant to Encourage Research Presentations by Trainees in Clinical Chemistry at the Canadian Society of Clinical Chemists/Canadian Laboratory Medicine Congress 2011, Vancouver, BC, June 4-8 2011. Abstract: Same as above.

    Travel Grant Award and One of Four Top Trainee Abstracts (with oral presentation), at the Association for Clinical Chemistry 2011 Annual Meeting, Atlanta, GA, USA, July 24 - 28 2011. Abstract: "High Sensitive Cardiac troponin T measurements for predicting short-term serious cardiac outcomes in emergency department patients with suspected acute coronary syndrome."
