Faculty Position in Medical Education Research
The Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics (CE&B) and the Program for Educational Research and Development (PERD) within the Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University invite applications for a faculty position in medical education research at the Associate or Full Professor level (dependent on qualifications) to begin on or before September 1, 2010.
The individual would be appointed to the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics (http://www.fhs.mcmaster.ca/ceb), which is renowned for its pioneering research and education programs; it provides an exciting academic environment, operating on a collegial model with interdisciplinary research teams and a mentorship program for junior faculty. The individual would also be a member of the Program for Educational Research and Development (PERD), which has overall responsibility to foster and encourage educational research and development across the Faculty of Health Sciences.

McMaster University is seeking an outstanding researcher to assume the Centre for Health Economics and Policy Analysis/Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Chair in Health Equity. We are looking for a dynamic scholar, ideally at the rank of Associate Professor. The Chairholder will lead an innovative research program focused on the production and communication of timely, relevant research that addresses the challenge of ensuring equity of access to health services and resources for the achievement of equitable health outcomes, which are fundamental and long-standing goals of the Canadian and Ontario health systems.
