Academic Interests

Her research interests have been in 3 inter-related themes in perinatal research:

  1. Obesity and gestational weight gain
  2. Cardiovascular risk factors and preeclampsia
  3. Perinatal effects of smoking and in utero programming

Her research program focuses on the effects of maternal overweight/obesity and gestational weight gain on pregnancy outcomes and the postpartum period.
