Dr. Holger Schünemann From its founding in 1968 with four faculty members (Gary Anderson, Michael Gent, Charlie Goldsmith, and chaired by David Sackett), CE&B has grown, diversified, and established an international reputation through the rigour and impact of its research and education programs.

Famed for its roots in evidence-based medicine and clinical trials, it is also a pioneer in knowledge-translation research, ehealth, and health informatics.

It has long been a world leader in health policy analysis, health economics, health technology assessment, and health services research. And now, with recent new initiatives in population genomics, aging, the McMaster Health Forum, and evidence / recommendations grading research, we are again pushing the frontiers of discovery and insight.
